Nintendo has confirmed the Switch will feature the same processor and GPU architecture found in its upcoming Nintendo Switch handheld console.
In a blog post, the company confirmed the console will also feature a new 3D display for the first time, but said its not likely to be a 4K or HDR console.
The Switch’s design will also be a direct result of the company’s research into the technology.
“We are deeply passionate about 3D,” Nintendo said.
“This will help create a new type of consumer experience with a deeper experience, richer content and more powerful gaming capabilities.”
The Switch is set to be unveiled on November 6.
