Wipro has been making some changes to its product line to be more responsive to the changing needs of the global consumer.
The company announced on Thursday that its new smartphone line will be called Lumia, and it will be manufactured in India.
The new Lumia line will include two different variants, the Lumia A11 and Lumia E11, which will have a 3.7-inch display, a Snapdragon 835 processor, and the same 64GB storage and 1,400mAh battery as the Lumias A10 and E10.
The Lumia phones will cost about $100 cheaper than the Lumio phones.
The price drop for Lumia is based on a lower-end model with a Snapdragon 820 chip, a slightly lower display resolution, and a slightly higher battery capacity.
This lower-tier phone will start at about $200, and will be available in India starting on April 3, the company said.
The higher-end Lumia has a Snapdragon 652 processor, a faster processor, 4GB of RAM, and an improved camera.
The Lumia smartphone has a 16MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, and 1.6MP front facing camera.
Wipro also announced on its website that it will have two new products in the pipeline: a new premium smartphone line called Lumio, which is aimed at the Indian market, and another product line called Xiaomi, which it is developing in India to sell in the country.
The Xiaomis, like the Lumiatos, will feature a larger 5.7mm display, and be priced at around $400-$500.
Wipo said it will release the Xiaome devices in the second half of 2017.
The companies also announced plans to introduce the Lumios smartphones in a variety of new markets including the United Kingdom, China, France, Germany, the United States, and Canada.
Widgets and smart home gadgets are popular among Indian consumers.
Wirathu has partnered with a number of Indian brands, including Lifestyle, to bring its smart home products to the Indian markets.
The company has been focusing on selling products in India, as the country has a relatively large population, and has the potential to grow into a global hub for smart home, smart cities, and home automation.
